It was a traumatic experience in many ways (now I understand why the women always cry on that show), and a lot of my favorite colors were vetoed. I can't wear red or orange anymore (she's right, those colors don't flatter me at all, but it's still a painful experience). However, grey & purple are both on the allowed list. I would love to win this and maybe make a couple of skirts and shirts to fill up my now quite empty closet...

  119. I'm new to sewing, and I love your orchid gray color story. I taught myself to sew after my first daughter was born two years ago, and I am just starting to think of all the many uses of the beautiful fabric you guys create! For my girls and for my home as well! I definitely got my interest in sewing from my late father, who was an upholsterer, but I was always terrified of his machine growing up. Since then, I've got the courage to learn how to use the machine and teach myself to sew. All of your beautiful fabrics are so inspirational to my creations. I just found your blog, and now I'm an addicted follower!
