Lovely Quilt Made with Harvest fabrics, Fresco and Cotton Couture: Natalie Crabtree from Crabtree Collective
I’m Natalie Crabtree, owner of Crabtree Arts Collective! I’m so glad I was asked to participate in the Michael Miller Fabrics Blog Hop featuring Halloween or Harvest Fabrics! Thank you to the MMF team for allowing me to play and create with these gorgeous fall prints and feature my pattern “Linda’s Lattice” (Link to purchase pattern at the end of this blog.).
Fall is my absolute favorite season. I’m from the Midwest and Fall is a special time of year here. Nothing is quite like a chilly sweatshirt morning with dew on the grass, leaves changing colors and a hot cup of coffee in hand. Perhaps a pumpkin scented candle? The best!
I would also love to give a shout out to my talented quilter who quilted this project for me – Alyce Taylor of Quilting Matilda (Anderson, Indiana). Let’s get started!

To make my Throw Size Version of “Linda’s Lattice” (Quilt Pattern is offered in (3) sizes. Link to purchase pattern at the end of this blog.), I choose a selection of (4) Harvest themed prints along with a beautiful array of prints from the Fresco Basics Collection to accent the fall colors! I am totally in love with these Michael Miller Fabrics fall prints. They’re even more beautiful and vibrant in person! Pumpkins, gourds, sunflowers, leaves…...and all the yummy fall colors!
Check out more harvest prints on the Michael Miller Holiday Shop: https://www.michaelmillerfabrics.com/holiday-shop/harvest.html
I enjoyed browsing the Fresco Basics Collection to pick colors to mix and match with the fall prints.

Here is a list of fabrics I choose for my quilt along with the modified yardage I used for the Throw Version of the “Linda’s Lattice” Pattern. The yardages on the back cover of “Linda’s Lattice” are different than what I used. However, the “Linda’s Lattice” Pattern can be easily modified to use yardage instead of precuts! Feel free to mix and match yardage from Michael Miller Fabrics to create your own unique quilt.
Fall Prints Include (3/8 yard each):
DCX9679 Mini Sunflowers Wine
DCX9678 Pumpkins for Sale Cream
DCX9661 Fall Foliage Black
DCX9661 Fall Foliage Cream

Fresco Basics Collection Prints Include (1/8 yard each):
DCX10060 Fresco Chili
DCX10060 Fresco Butterscotch
DCX10060 Fresco Clementine
DCX10060 Fresco Pear
DCX10060 Fresco Parchment
DCX10060 Fresco Papaya
DCX10060 Fresco Almond
DCX10060 Fresco Lime
DCX10060 Fresco Apricot
DCX10060 Fresco Emerald
DCX10060 Fresco Caramel
DCX10060 Fresco Carrot

I also used 3 ¼ yard of Cotton Couture Soft White (link: https://www.michaelmillerfabrics.com/shop/basics.html ) for the background, assorted scraps for a pieced backing (or you can use 3 ¾ yards) and 5/8 yard for Binding.  Check out a photo of my pieced backing below! When possible, I love a pieced backing.

I used each of the (4) Fall Prints (4) times in the quilt. Each time I used (1) print in a block, I tried to pick a new and unique Fresco Print to pair with the block for the chain featured in each block, and to accent the fall print! It was so fun to mix and match colors to maximize scrappiness and make this fall quilt extraordinary. Check out some of the different print combinations I created for the “Linda’s Lattice” Quilt!
Sometimes it really pays to go outside of a particular fabric collection and check out the Basics Collections to give your quilt an extra pop of color, accent the prints and make a quilt even more interesting. The Fresco Collection did just that. Fresco is offered in such a wide array of colors, you are bound to find something that coordinates with the fabrics you are working with!

The Linda’s Lattice Pattern is a very simple make, and the Throw Version could easily be a weekend project! It combines simple techniques such as strip piecing and flying geese to make a beautiful traditional style quilt.
Check out the photos below to see how the Michael Miller Fabrics Fall and Fresco Prints paired together to make a gorgeous fall quilt for my family! (Photos taken at Pipkins Market in Blue Ash, Ohio.)
