michael miller's twelve d.i.y.s of Christmas!

It's day 11 (and 12) of mmf's twelve d.i.y.s of Christmas!! I meant to post on Saturday but I was wrapped up in my own holiday sewing and time just slipped away :) So, I'll post one project now and one this afternoon.

First, from Huneydoodles, is a holiday staple for boys...
Wouldn't it look great on a little boy standing next to a little girl wearing this? Yes! What could make it better? How about taking the photo in front of a gorgeous Christmas Tree!?!

For more inspirational photos and the bow tie tutorial, visit Huneydoodles.

michael miller's twelve d.i.y.s of Christmas!

It's day six of mmf's twelve d.i.y.s of Christmas!!

Do you have a new family member? or a new house? I'm sure that you have some reason to make new Christmas stockings... especially monogrammed ones (which are all the rage these days)!
Amy of Britches N Bloomers created a great tutorial which can be found here. I love how she monogrammed each stocking to make it personal. You can also sew on some sequins and beads if you really want to bring the bling this season!

If you need embroidered letters, try your local craft supply store or a Michaels.

Etsy also has some great sources for iron-on and sew-on monogrammed patches if you can't do it on your home sew machine:

So Supplies

I hope everyone is having a productive handmade holiday weekend!
