The Great Pattern Hack :: Rachael of Imagine Gnats!

The talented Rachael of Imagine Gnats featured our On the Town collection in her hack of the LOL Swing Top (by Jennuine Design) for the Great Pattern Hack.

Rachael lengthened the top into a dress and added a different type of racerback strap (see photo above). She also created a subtle hi-lo with the hem.
How cute does the lining look peeking out from under the main fabric?!?
*Main fabric is On the Town in Navy
*Lining is Ava in Blue
I love the photo above! It really shows off the swing of the LOL Swing Top turned dress!

Thanks so much to Rachael for sharing her hack! For more photos of her process and the inner workings of the dress, please visit Imagine Gnats.

Spring Quilt Market Round Up- Part 1 :)

We're back from Minneapolis and Spring Quilt Market was amazing-- I met some fantastic and talented makers and we unveiled some really great new collections and SO MANY QUILTS!! I can't wait to share what's happening with Michael Miller this season! But, for now, I'm going to give you a sneak peek into the QM booth...
Here we are after a few days of setup in front of Violet Craft's infamous Jungle Abstractions Lion quilt...
...and, you know I love to post "before pics", so here's the blank canvas...
And Rob Appell (of Man Sewing) on our way home from shopping in IKEA. I think we were there for four hours... we were all shopped out and tried to get in the wrong mini van. Ha!
Below are a couple of set-up pics... it's our WIP!
....and a section of our flower walls...
Below are some pictures of our finished vignettes!

The Quilt is Birdcage on a Chain by Anna Maria Horner
(the dog is a Bichon Frise named Beau:)

by Emily Herrick
Emily won the award for most creative booth... woo hoo, Emily!!

Don't you just love the wall quilt?!? It's King's Cross by Tara Faughnan
and a detail shot...

and, just a little peek of Color Me by Hayley Crouse...
Dress patterns above are the Verona Dress and the Geranium Dress
The coloring book is by 2 Little Hooligans

Ok, that's all for this week... stay tuned for more of Spring Quilt Market Round up with MMF!

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
