Alpaca you a QUILT!

Alpaca's have a pretty big fan club... and we're in it!

 Heidi Pridemore designed this whimsical, Aztec inspired quilt using Packmates, Eduardo and Kiss Dots. 

We couldn't just stop with a quilt! We also made a Packmates dress using X's & O's by Olive Ann Designs.

 We loved this pattern so much that we made the quilt in blue!

Let's get Kitschy with Flamingo Love!

Now that the holidays are over, who's ready for some Valentine's Day sewing? 5berries' Gatsby Dress is an amazing pattern... and don't you just love the heart confetti too?

The top of the dress is Flamingo Love and the mid-section and skirt are made with Heart Strings

 **Here's a fun trick for your Valentine Cards~ fill a card with a handful of heart confetti, place the card in the envelope with the spine at the bottom and seal it. When your lucky Valentine pulls out the card, they will be showered with "love". :)

If you're not mentally prepared to start sewing for Valentine's Day but you still want to sew with flamingos, then how about some selfish sewing? Or a no-sew home improvement project?

It's day 11 (and 12) of mmf's twelve d.i.y.s of Christmas!! I meant to post on Saturday but I was wrapped up in my own holiday sewing and time just slipped away :) So, I'll post one project now and one this afternoon. 

First, from Huneydoodles, is a holiday staple for boys...

 Wouldn't it look great on a little boy standing next to a little girl wearing this? Yes! What could make it better? How about taking the photo in front of a gorgeous Christmas Tree!?!

michael miller's twelve d.i.y.s of Christmas!

Yesterday we exchanged our Secret Santa gifts at work and my Santa gave me a monogram mug. Love it! It's pretty special so I think it needs it's own Mug Rug! Tara and Shawn, our California co-workers, sent some Holiday garland which is the perfect decoration for your Christmas Tree... but it also made the best Mug Rug!

So, for day 10 of mmf's twelve d.i.y.s of Christmas, we bring to you this festive fabric twine... as a Mug Rug!

Follow the instructions in this Youtube video (or this tutorial) to wind the fabric twine... you'll need about 5 1/2 feet of twine to make the rug. After you've tied off the start and finish of the twine you'll need to wind it into a flat spiral, stitching it into place as you go. The diameter of the rug should measure about 5 1/2" when you're finished. What a fantastic gift set- just add hot chocolate and marshmallows!

The Holiday Hoodie is lined with super soft flannel... and Jenn used an MMF classic for the outside- Nordic Holiday in Multi.
