Hello…my name is Jessica and I am the owner of Ruth & Esther Handmade Goods. I started R&E about 6 years ago when I began making crocheted baby items. A couple of years later I decided to make quilts for my twins for their new big kid beds and I fell in love with quilting. Since then I have been quilting and always learning something new. I love making baby quilts and throw quilts. The last couple of years I have added quilted pouches and framed mini quilts to the things that I enjoy making.
I have been married to my husband Aaron for 11 years and we have 4 children, Sam(8), Maisy Jane (8), Abraham (3) and Edith (6 months). We live in San Antonio, Texas with our dog Olive. When it”s not too hot our family enjoys hiking and we like to play board games with the big kids. Aaron recently got a new grill and we have loved having lots of delicious grilled goodies like steaks, prime rib and pork chops. Our family loves bacon and cheese. Always cheese.
We had a few big changes in our family in 2019 but the biggest one was adding our fourth child to the family. She has been the sweetest addition and we are so thankful for her. Aaron and I still stop and say all the time…we have four kids. Four
When Maisy Jane was about 3 years old she started assigning colors to everyone in the family and some of our friends also. The colors were so accurate, mostly going along with what people wore the most. My color was grey. Haha. I really do love grey…but yellow would be my second choice.
